Our Origin

Incendium was founded on a rebellious and independent spirit
that remains to this day.

Our 6 founders had built enviable careers and reputations in their respective fields delivering results in senior positions in the Big 4, top Real Estate consultancies and Fortune 100 businesses.

But in 2014, driven by a goal to disrupt how clients accessed innovative and independent CRE expertise, they quit their jobs and Incendium was born. Their passion for sourcing the best talent and delivering transformational results quickly attracted a diverse pool of like-minded rebels.

Combined with a commitment to working shoulder-to-shoulder with clients, the business grew rapidly. Then, on a fateful day in 2018 the founders met the team at Instant, and it became very clear, very quickly they were kindred spirits. Shortly after, Incendium joined The Instant Group and the rest is, as they say, history.

Valerie Bonnin
Managing Director
Expertise: Management Consultancy / Strategic Outsourcing and Procurement / Operating Model

Valerie is Incendium’s Managing Director and as such has overall responsibility for leading our global practice with key centres in Europe, in the US and in Singapore.

Valerie has 25 years of experience working in real estate consulting, prior to her MD role she led our operating model and procurement global practice since 2016. She spent her earlier career leading complex real estate projects for clients across a broad range of topics whilst at other large Consulting businesses.

Valerie is passionate about people and ensuring our teams work in partnership with clients at all times, delivering great outcomes together.

Valerie is also a qualified Vested specialist with a keen interest in behavioural economics and ensuring our clients enter into relationships that work for both parties, are flexible to change and stand the test of time.

Outside of work Valerie enjoys a busy life with her family (a husband and 2 children) and doing lots of fun activities, sports, seeing friends and travelling together.

Sam Pickering
Executive Director
Expertise: Management Consultancy / Sustainability

Sam is one of the partners of Incendium and is currently Executive Director and lead of our global Sustainability team.

With over 16 years of sustainability experience. Sam’s specialism is driving meaningful sustainable change and is a recognised leader on the subject. He has a track record of collaborating with Fortune and FTSE 100 companies as well as SMEs across all sectors, serving as both an advisor and an extension of their teams. He has developed strategies and programs that have made a tangible impact on combating climate change.
Over the years, he partnered with industry-leading organisations, helping them navigate the complexities of sustainability and implement innovative solutions. From crafting ambitious carbon reduction initiatives to spearheading sustainable supply chain practices, his focus has always been on driving results.

Prior to Incendium Sam headed up energy and sustainability at CBRE and fly helicopters within the British Army.

Outside of work Sam enjoys skiing and running, often with his wife, 4 children and dog.

Simon Johnson
Executive Director
Expertise: Management Consultancy / Enterprise Portfolio & Workplace Strategy

Simon is one of the co-founders of Incendium and has over 25 years of experience working across the full spectrum of real estate consulting across both private and public sectors.

Simon specialises in delivering complex transformation projects and programmes, particularly with regards to portfolio and workplace change. Simon has successfully led many of our most complex and high profile client projects, consistently delivering exceptional client value and fostering trusted relationships.

Simon is driven by both the development and delivery of solutions that add real and lasting value to our corporate real estate clients and the businesses that they support. Simon passionately believes in the power of corporate real estate in unlocking enterprise value and enhancing business performance.

Prior to Incendium, Simon held senior consulting and account leadership positions in CBRE, DTZ and EY.

Outside of work, Simon loves travelling, socialising and is a keen sportsman (although latterly more from the touchline and vicariously through his 3 children as his wife often reminds him).

Jeremy Brattle
Senior Director
Expertise: Talent

Jeremy is one of the co-founders of Incendium and has over 25 years experience supporting CRE clients with Executive talent solutions. Operating with independence to ensure confidentiality when required, Jeremy executes senior level Executive Search mandates for strategic appointments within client organisations. Prior to Incendium, Jeremy co-founded Brattle Cameron, a leading CRE specialist global Executive Search firm established in 2009.

His track record spans all industry sectors and key global markets, with a focus to regional and global leadership resourcing across the full property lifecycle. Jeremy has a long term, research orientated and client relationship driven approach, rather than a transactional focus, evidenced by repeat business spanning decades from multiple clients at leading Fortune 500 organisations.

Jeremy is excited by the transformation happening across the CRE/ workplace sector and proud to be trusted by clients seeking to compliment their leadership teams with progressive, diverse and creative business leaders shaping the future in the workplace.

Outside of work, Jeremy’s passions revolve around family, friends, travel and sport, although the latter more for fitness and wellbeing rather than any particular talent!

Beatrice Yuen
Director
Expertise: Management Consultancy / Portfolio & Workplace Strategy

Beatrice Yuen is a Director with oversight for the Asia Pacific region.

She helps real estate teams define their portfolio & workplace strategy, transform operating models, procure outsourced partners and manage change, ultimately improving organisations’ bottom line by crafting creative solutions to their business problems.

A Chartered Accountant with 23 years experience across consulting and client side, Beatrice brings unique perspectives and systems thinking to each project. She worked in audit, transaction support and business advisory when in EY, and was in the CRE, risk and COO transformation teams during her time at DB and SCB.

Her love for adventure and travelling led her to live in London and after 15 years exploring Europe, Beatrice is back in Singapore to discover more of APAC.

Clare Bridger
Director
Expertise: Management Consultancy / Portfolio & Workplace Strategy

Clare leads our portfolio and workplace strategy consulting business. She has over 12 years of experience in Real Estate Consulting; starting her career in Real Estate finance and capital raising and moving into workplace strategy, leadership alignment and change management.

Clare is passionate about bringing the right people together to make meaningful decisions and uses human-centred design at the heart of her work. Her focus is on enabling clients to make meaningful decisions about the future of work through compelling data backed strategies.

Clare has worked both as a management consultant and has been seconded in house to several clients to lead global portfolio and workplace strategy projects with clients in both the public and private sectors.

Beyond work, Clare is an outdoor sports and adventure enthusiast, often embarking on memorable journeys with her husband and 2 children in their beloved campervan.

Hannah Koole-Browne
Director
Expertise: Management Consultancy / Procurement

Hannah has been a long-standing member of the Incendium team and is currently a Director in the Procurement practice.

Alongside leading the practice, she also manages large and complex Real Estate and Facilities management procurement programmes across both private and public sectors.

Hannah specialises in relational contracts and is a qualified Vested practitioner. She is also an expert in the project management of highly complex programmes.

Initially qualifying as a chartered accountant from a “big 4” company, Hannah then made the move to Real Estate consulting. Her priorities at work are building and strengthening trusted relationships with our clients, delivering tailored solutions and ensuring the happiness and development of our teams.

Two young daughters and an energetic dog keep Hannah happily busy. She also tries to squeeze in some netball, running, walks and outdoor swims when possible!

Holly Parsons
Director
Expertise: Management Consultancy / Operating Model

Holly is a corporate real estate expert with a Big 4 background in management consultancy and training as a Chartered Surveyor.

She has a 15+ year strong track record of solving complex business challenges and finding the optimal real estate wrapper to support ‘best in class’, both in client side roles and as a management consultant. Holly is passionate about transforming organisations for the better and her focus areas are organisational and portfolio transformation.

Outside work, Holly is mum to a very enthusiastic toddler and a high energy golden retriever, so there isn’t much time for hobbies, but as much time as possible is spent outdoors (with or without the ‘kids’).

Jon Morley
Director
Expertise: Management Consultancy / Procurement

Jon is a Director in the Procurement team at Incendium. His role is to not only lead the practice but to also lead highly complex Real Estate and Facilities Management procurement programmes across a variety of sectors, services and asset types.

Jon is the Global Lead for Performance Based Contracts and is an expert in delivery models, commercial models and the structuring of contracts to drive better value for clients in the long term.

Jon has a ‘big 4’ background and spent the early part of his career as a qualified chartered accountant before transitioning to Real Estate Consulting. Whilst complex financial analysis is a particular strength, Jon is an expert at delivering best practice advice and leadership in designing strategies that best fits each clients’ needs.

Outside of work, Jon has recently become a father to a baby girl and enjoys spending time with his family and occasionally trying to play golf.

Julia Butterworth
Senior Director
Expertise: Management Consultancy / Sustainability

Julia is a Sustainability Strategist, experienced in guiding businesses towards a sustainable future. She works closely with clients to integrate sustainability throughout their operations, encompassing aspects like group governance, communication strategies, workplace practices, supply chain management, and product development.

As a Senior Director in our global Sustainability practise, Julia is passionate about fostering sustainable leadership, both within Incendium’s team culture and with her clients.

Her diverse background across various industries provides valuable perspective for crafting impactful solutions. Prior to joining Incendium, Julia honed her expertise at leading sustainability consultancies like Cushman & Wakefield and CBRE.

When not strategising sustainability, Julia enjoys exploring the outdoors with her loyal springer spaniel companion.

Julia Kean
Director
Expertise: Management Consultancy / Portfolio & Workplace Strategy

Julia is an Incendium Director with oversight for the Americas region.

Leading programs across all consulting service lines, Julia is a diverse leader whose expertise has evolved how and where people work at variety of major multinational corporations.

Day to day, Julia’s focused on creating better experiences for corporate employees and always takes a human-focused and data-driven approach to realizing her clients’ transformational visions. She is passionate about the future of work, technology, the built environment, and how they are influencing each other at an accelerating pace.

Prior to Incendium Julia built and led a workplace innovation practice at a NY based consultancy.

Outside of work, Julia enjoys traveling and exploring the outdoors with her fiancé and their dog.

Kevin Sparks
Director
Expertise: Management Consultancy / Procurement

Kevin is a Director in our Global procurement practice and has been with Incendium since 2016. Kevin has nearly 25 years of experience working in real estate consulting and operational delivery, prior to his current role he worked client side for a number of corporate organisations managing their FM operations across media, pharma, financial and legal service sectors.

Kevin has worked on a number of global projects and is very closely aligned with our US practice. Over time he has also established himself as a key point of contact in the industry for technology and manufacturing sector clients. His focus is on bespoke solutions for clients and enjoys and excels at stakeholder management and project management.

Kevin is also chartered surveyor and IWFM practitioner and brings his experience and insight in both capital projects and facilities management to most of his client assignments.

Outside of work Kevin enjoys keeping fit and spending time with family and friends.

Mark Vowles
Director
Expertise: Management Consultancy / Procurement

Mark has over twenty years of real estate and facilities management industry, outsourcing and advisory experience. He is currently Director at Incendium leading their Procurement Practice advisory services inlcuding development of sourcing strategies, procurement implementation and programme management, contract improvements and operations and technology advisory support.

Mark has worked in client side and consulting roles previosuly for Unilever as global Workplace Operations Director and as Director in Deloittes Real Estate Consulting Team. In his roles Mark has gained deep knowledge into sustainable sourcing strategies, outsourcing contract and commercial model design, procurement implementation and change management and service operations.

Mark has a degree in Commercial Management and Quantity Surveying and is a member of RICS.

Outside of work Mark enjoys spending time with his family, playing football and cricket, gardening and going for long walks with his dog.

Robin Bilton
Director
Expertise: Management Consultancy / Sustainability

As a Director in our global Sustainability practise, Robin is dedicated to helping clients bring their sustainable visions to life by turning their strategies into tangible results, navigating diverse portfolios with complex stakeholders to spearhead transformative change. Robin blends technical expertise with a keen eye for optimisation, ensuring that both capital and operational programs reach their full potential. Moreover, Robin builds governance structures that foster project success from inception to execution.

One of Robin’s key passions lies in pioneering sustainable solutions for flex space operations, offering a balanced and practical approach to meet clients’ evolving needs. As a Chartered Environmentalist with a wealth of experience spanning various sectors, Robin brings a unique perspective to the table. Before joining Incendium, Robin played pivotal roles at CBRE and Johnson Controls, leading the charge in EMEA Energy Services.

Outside of work, Robin enjoys culinary experimentation in the kitchen and finds relaxation in the tranquillity of a beach stroll.
